Redevco and Swiss Finance & Property have submitted revised plans to Glasgow City Council for the major redevelopment of their site on Minerva Way in Finnieston, in Glasgow’s vibrant West End. InDev which has been working with Redevco on the project, has worked closely with the Redevco and Design Teams on the proposal’s revisions, which aim to deliver a modern and highly sustainable residential offering.
The updated plans propose the construction of 391 Build To Rent (BTR) apartments across two architecturally striking buildings, complemented by extensive landscaping across the 2.5-acre site. Sustainability lies at the core of the proposal, featuring air source heat pumps for all apartments, electric vehicle charging points, and other key environmental innovations.
Simon Russian, Development Director at InDev, commented:
“It has been fantastic to work with Redevco’s team on this revised proposal, we aim to create a high-quality, sustainable residential community that enhances the local area while addressing the growing demand for rental housing in Glasgow. The collaborative efforts with Glasgow City Council have helped refine the proposals, ensuring they meet the needs of future residents and contribute positively to the city’s sustainability goal.
The proposals are expected to be reviewed by Glasgow City Council’s planning committee later in the autumn.
